Your First Step Toward Clarity

Walking into counselling for the first time can feel uncertain — even intimidating. But the truth is, the first session is simply a conversation — one where you can speak freely, without judgment or labels.

I begin by understanding you as a whole person — your story, emotions, past experiences, and what you hope to change. You do not need to prepare a speech or have all the answers. Just bring your honest self; that is enough.

The First Session

Our first session usually lasts 60–90 minutes. We take time to explore your background, present challenges, and the thoughts that often circle your mind. Together, we begin identifying patterns and emotional roots — not to analyze you, but to help you understand yourself with kindness and clarity.

This session is also about building trust and comfort. You will get a sense of my approach, and we will decide the pace and structure of future sessions according to your needs.

Following Sessions

Subsequent sessions generally last 45–60 minutes, focused on working through specific areas, applying new coping tools, and noticing changes — both small and profound.

I often suggest reflection practices or journaling between sessions, to help you stay connected with your own growth.

How to Make the Most of Your Time

Come with an open mind — even if unsure of what to say. Speak freely; every thought matters. Ask questions. Curiosity is part of healing. Be honest — even when it feels difficult. Practice what we explore during sessions — small steps can bring lasting change.

Confidentiality

Everything you share remains strictly private. This is your space — safe, confidential, and completely judgment-free.

The goal of counselling is not to erase pain overnight — it is to help you understand it, work through it, and come out stronger.
